And I owe the weary sandman
All the hours I have stolen
Apologize to grieving angels
For the distance I have fallen
And I find a space of silence,
No more song.
Give the ferryman my silver
Feel the furnace winds of Hades
As I swim into the darkness
As I go a little crazy,
And the river cloaked in silence
No more song.
In Valhalla and in Jotenheim
The heroes and the giants
Have all left the halls abandoned
None to care on my defiance
And the dream cries out in mourning
Without song
There are no myths remaining,
The gods, they are all sleeping
And the darkness is much closer
now I feel its gentle weeping
I have lost your voice and there is
No more song.
Jan 14th I worked on the clouds and horizon line. Small touchups to horses. I did not like the clouds, so brought the image into Gimp 2.0 (great free photoediting software) and played with the airbrush. I like the composition it created, will be trying to replicate with oil next session.
The gimp changes were moved on to the picture. Final step is to paint the sides, to give the gallery wrapped feeling. Three weeks, and it will be ready to move. To where is of course the questions!
And installed on the wall. Odd how the colours match the room :)
Horses in the Badlands - continuing the theme.. oil on board. 16 by 20 And finally, in acrylic, the Unicorn, 8 by 8.
